Sclerogaster araripensis, a new hypogeous fungus from the upland wet forest enclaves of northeast Brazil

Sclerogaster araripensis, with small basidiomata, white and two-layered peridium, basidiospores (4.3) 4.5–7 × 3.5–6 μm, is described from the upland, wet forest enclaves (brejos de altitude), in northeast Brazil. It grows aggregated in clusters within a common mycelium.
