During surveys about poroid Hymenochaetaceae in Brazil, six specimens could not be assigned to any known species and are, thus, described as three new species, based on morphology and nITS and nLSU phylogenetic analyses. Fulvifomes fabaceicola, F. karitianaensis and F. waimiriatroariensis are morphologically similar and/or phylogenetically close to F. thailandicus, F. rhytiphloeus and F. fastuosus/F. kawakami, respectively. Based on morphological and phylogenetic analyses and distribution information, the taxonomic implications of new species and other related taxa are discussed.
Keywords: Hymenochaetaceae, phylogenetic analysis, polypore, taxonomy.
