The aim of this work is to resolve the phylogenetic position of Globuliciopsis and Nothocorticium, two austral corticioid genera endemic to the Patagonian Andes forests. Their phylogenetic affinities, based on ITS and 28S nuc-LSU data, cluster Globuliciopsis in Agaricales, close to Radulomyces, Radulotubus, and Aphanobasidium, whereas Nothocorticium is in the Stereopsidales, closely related to Clavulicium macounii. In addition to the phylogenetic data, macro and microscopical descriptions are provided.
Keywords: Agaricales, corticioid fungi, South America, Stereopsidales.
